Hungarofék Ltd. - Introduction

The Hungarofék Ltd. was founded in 1996 by former brake drum casting, manufacturing and distributing companies. The company's sales volume is nearly 60,000 pieces of brake drums and 20,000 pieces of brake discs annually in Hungary and the surrounding countries: Slovakia, Czech Republic, Poland, Romania and Lithuania.

The cast of brake drums and  discs  are made by a significant European vehicle industrial foundry in the Czech Republic using casting molds designed and owned by our company. The machining of the casts are fabricated by our capital proprietor FORGAKON Ltd. at our Mezőkeresztes location in Borsod County. One of the main customers of our manufactured products is Rába Axle Factory Ltd. Their axles have been installed in large quantities into American and Russian heavy-duty trucks and buses.

Our range of brake drums and brake discs cover most type of heavy-duty trucks, buses and trailers running in the neighboring countries including the formal socialist products: Ikarusz, Karosa, Liaz, and Tatra.
Where demand outweighs sufficient production, we supplement our supply with English, German and French firms' products.
Our current inventory consists of more than 300 different types of brake drums and brake discs with over 20,000 pieces available for prompt delivery.

We present brake linings at competitive prices and varying industry standards on various brake drums and brake discs. We offer a great selection of the premium quality German TEXTAR and BREMSKERL, also the English WINNARD and JURATEK firms' products. Every brake lining product sold by our company is of OEM quality or possess the necessary "E" sign which is required for distribution. We recommend different qualities of brake linings for trucks, buses and trailers as well as for new and worn brake discs mainly due to the diverse degree of strain and aging apparent throughout various vehicles.

We also carry a wide range of OEM and aftermarket parts for BPW, SAF, ROR, Fruehauf axles. From 2009, we are representative of the GIGANT axle factory in Hungary enabling us to supply original parts from the parent company and also from its subsidiaries (SMB, SAE).
As far as braking system manufacturers' (Knorr, Wabco, Meritor, Haldex) products go, we purchase primarily from the German Winkler and Dieseltechnic companies. The additional components for heavy-duty trucks such as air springs,shock absorbers, dampers, lamps, sockets and switches are received from these wholesalers and kept in our warehouse.

Furthermore, Hungarofék Ltd. has become the exclusive importer of one of the world's largest commercial vehicle filter manufacturer, the American BALDWIN FILTERS, since 2000. We carry many of the more than 5,000 OEM or higher quality filter types to satisfy the European commercial vehicles , agricultural and industrial machines with total filtration demand.
In the recent years, as a result of our diversification, the Italian COVIND firm's heavy-duty truck body parts became one of our main product lines. We are pleased to be business partners with a company that has held a significant position in the European market with their products.
